Hive is a deep chess-like game with a difference, there is no board. Pieces are added to the playing area, thus creating the board, the hive. Each piece moves in a specific way, and the winner is the one who surrounds the opposing Queen Bee first. Created by John Yianni 25 years ago, it’s still a popular modern game, and a World Championship has been held online since 2007.
