Oware is one of the most traditional African games of the family of Mancala (sowing games). It is particularly popular in Ghana, but it’s also known by other names in other countries. The players alternate taking the seeds from one of the houses on their side and ‘sow’ them one by one counterclockwise. Under certain conditions, one player can capture seeds from the opposing houses, and whoever captures more seeds at the end of the game is the winner.
